SKY DIRT  SPEAK OUT TRUTH, the second CD release by blues duo WILDSANG, is an eleven song disc chock full of almost all the passion, sweat, grit, brutal tragedy, bare truth, deep love, lust and sacrifice that one can squeeze out of the blues.

These story songs include the story of Josie, who escapes from being raped with the help of her teenage friend - the nephew of the rapist.
The story of an unwed mother who decides to keep her unborn child in the face of her religious father, who insists that her pregnancy will “bring the devil down on us all”.
In the song “Ain't No Strange Fruit” (inspired by the Billy Holiday classic “Strange Fruit”), the young person speaking hides in the bushes as she watches her father's lynching.
Then, there is the love song “Baby Tight”, which speaks of the joy of taking your time with your baby and savoring those “honey - drippin' ” moments.

For a treat, the duo includes two covers on the CD - “Smokestack Lightning” - by Chester Burnett and “Spoonful” - by Willy Dixon. WILDSANG takes these two old favorites, steps inside each song and recreates them with fun, richness and serious attention paid to the original versions.
